Hugo chewed happily, more or less enjoying the company of his cousins and sister, even though Rose was so quiet he had no idea she was there. He ate until there not a single morsel left on his plate and was in the process of washing it all down with a tall glass of pumpkin juice when an unexpected visitor decided to make an appearance at the table. Although horribly dismayed by the boy's presence, Hugo's gaze remained glued to Scorpius as he approached the group, still hanging on to the small thread of hope that perhaps the boy wanted to be friends. His left hand clenched tightly into a fist as he watched the exchange between the two. Of course he was there to see Rose....typical... He continued to observe until the boy left, but was unable to conceal his emotions and thought it best that he leave. Hugo wished Lily a happy birthday once more and said his goodbyes to Dominique, and quickly left to attend his first class of the morning.

Molly had been watching this whole charade from the Ravenclaw table, having remembered that it was her younger cousins birthday she'd made her a birthday card the day before. However, she was really wishing that she wouldn't really have to talk to James, not really feeling like it that morning. Molly quickly walked over to the table and said happily with a smile on her face, "Happy Birthday Lily!" and handed her the card. She then sat down across from her cousin, not really wishing to intrude, she knew her relationship with her cousin was a little strained because of her father's relationship with their parents. But, she was still aloud to remember her cousin's birthday and get her a card, there was absolutely nothing wrong with that.

Albus was not a morning person. No matter what it was for, he had always hated the fact that he had to get up early in the morning. Be it for Christmas or for someone’s birthday, if he could get away with it, Albus would be the first one going back to bed. He had always enjoyed his nap anyway. So, there was no surprised that he was half asleep the moment he walked into the Great Hall when the day had barely begun. However, it was a surprise to find him not late for class or for breakfast for that matter. Again, it was because he had no choice. After being awoken about an hour ago after practically being thrown out of bed by a spell gone wrong cast by his roommate, Albus had no choice but to force himself out of bed, realizing that sleeping through a Lily’s birthday would be bad. Right, there was no way he would miss his little sister’s birthday, not that he wasn’t fond of Lily -- it was just that... Couldn’t she have picked dinner instead of an early breakfast? That would have sat better with Albus any day. At least he would be awake for the whole event and wouldn’t be the source of James’ amusement. Then again, he would have been source of James’ amusement regardless.
“Mornin’” Albus mumbled as he staggered to an empty seat at the Gryffindor table. He was the life of the party -- not. Bored and pretty much still half asleep, Albus ended up with his face rested on the table, not even caring of what was going on around him. Well, at least he was there... Right?
