Classes are not mandatory, but we encourage students to attend because there is no point in being a student if you don't show up for class Classes can be fun and if done correctly, can make for a great roleplay. If you do choose to attend classes, we're going to try to do things a little differently here.
1. For starters, when the end of each term comes around a sign up sheet will be posted in which all those who wish to move up a year, will post. If you wish to remain as you are, that is fine. You can continue being a whatever year you want for how ever long you choose. However, you cannot ask to switch houses or to be moved up to an adult then a student then an adult again etc.., that's a bit much.
2. There is one thread for each class and all lessons are to be posted in that single thread. When a lesson is completed, professors are responsible for indicating the end of the lesson so that each student is aware. Professors are also responsible for indicating the start of a new lesson. This is necessary in order to prevent students from posting about lesson one when the class is already on lesson three, for instance.
3. Each lesson runs on a two week duration. One week will have two houses attending class, while the remaining houses will attend classes during the second week. We might switch things up from time to time in terms of which house attends what week, so watch out for that.
4. Be realistic. Hogwarts is primarily a boarding school. Students should not post about showing up to class wearing fishnet stockings and combat boots with visible piercings and tattoos. Revisit the school rules if there is any confusion regarding the dress code.
5. Remember to have fun, but most importantly respect one another.[/color]
