Lily had sneaked out of Hogwarts. She was on her broom as she flew across the grounds. She didn't stop until she reached the quidditch pitch. She jumped off and walked to the stands. She climbed up to the very top where she finely sat down and took out her wand. Her broom was leaning against the stands down on the ground. With her wand she drew a bright pink heart in the sky. She had just learned how to do it and thought it was pretty cool. Her complete attention was on drawing the heart that she never heard the sound of someone or something approaching her.

Clothing littered the floor of her room as she searched for the potion that would save both her life and so many others. She would have to leave the dormitory tonight... There was no way she was going to stay in her room when she had not even taken her medicine until only a moment before changing. She breathed a sigh of relief as she placed her hand on the bottle. There was not much but it would be enough. She threw all the clothes she had into her trunk and onto her bed before bolting past a couple of girls out the door. They said nothing having already accepted everything she was. Mei charged out of the Common Room and into the dungeons heading out to the grounds, drinking her potion as she went. There was barely a mouthful so she wasn't sure whether or not it would even last the whole night. The moon was getting closer and closer to coming out in full so she didn't even have time to see the nurse.
Mei didn't even pay attention to whom she was passing on her way out of the castle, wearing her night clothes and a dressing gown she dashed out the doors and into the cold grounds. There would be no students around and, perhaps, she could go to the Quidditch pitch. No one would be out a night in the grounds anyway. It was a little cloudy so she had the chance of making it into the warmth of the changerooms before actually changing. She finally reached the pitch before she spotted something that made her feel unprecedented horror. There was a student out here drawing lovehearts in the sky and standing in the stands, where Mei had entered from the door in the stands being the only one she could open. "What in the name of Merlin are you doing out here!?" She shouted doubling over slightly, "Leave right now! I don't care where you go but just run away please."
She could feel the change beginning to overcome her but was also well aware that for at least a short while she might have been alright. Never again. Next time she would just have to have a double dose for now she had to only hope that the wolfsbane potion she had taken would be enough to keep her docile. At least until the little girl could run away. Damn it, she was one of the Potter's too... This would be just great for their already somewhat tumultuous family relationship.

Lily was just finishing her third heart when she heart foot steps. She figured it was probably James coming to see what she was doing. That was until she heard the person yell at her. Asking her what she was doing up there. She laughed and turned around. "Well isn't it obvious?" it was dark but she could still see her. She was hunched over and looked to be in pain. Her eyes quickly darted to the moon. "No," she whispered. She was frozen in fear as she watched the girl begin to change. Her red hair brushing against her neck in the wind and her green eyes bright with fear. "Y-You took your potion right? As long as you took your potion there is nothing to fear." She hopped. Slowly she began to move down the stadium. But as she had said she was at the top and had a long ways to climb down. The thought of using her wand to call the broom to her never even reached her mind. She couldn't take her eyes off of the girl. She looked familiar but couldn't place the name. It wasn't until she was half way down the stair that the name and face clicked together. "Y-Your M-Mei Carmine. Your a Hufflepuff. I know you I have seen you around several times.

Mei rolled her eyes a little at the little girl's questions but not out of derision or anything like that but rather annoyance. Annoyance at herself. She should have been paying attention to the full moons... Of course, she knew when they were and when they would occur but she had never thought that she didn't have enough potion to keep her going. She had visited the hospital wing only recently for the potion. Something must have gone wrong with it. Perhaps there had been a leak into her trunk or maybe the potion she had taken was not even the right one. Maybe she had drunk something else. But it had tasted like wolfsbane.
When the girl, Lily she thought it must have been, began speaking Mei felt a little calmer. Perhaps if there was some sort of human presence she would stay aware of her surroundings. At least enough to stop her from attacking. They were right up the top of the stands. Mei could have turned around and left if she could only move. She felt unable to do anything at the moment the change was happening slower than usual. "Yes... I am... Lily, I took my potion but I don't think it was enough..."
She tried to stay calm but she had gone rigid feeling herself begin to change even more. Her hands were becoming clawed as she stared at them still doubled over in pain. It took only a moment of pain and she threw up. With that she knew that the potion had not been enough and she had not taken it nearly early enough. Her eyes were beginning to feel strange as though they were seeing something else. "You need to leave..." She managed to mutter before she lost control of her higher faculties.

Lily continued to slowly go down the steps but she knew she had no chance. There was no way she could reach her broom in time before Mei changed completely. And since she had not taken enough of the wolfsbane she knew she was as good as dead if she couldn't get to her broom. "Try and stay calm please Mei. I-I don't think my family could handle another werewolf in the family. J-Just try and stay calm." Her eyes never moved from Mei except for a second when she turned and jumped down a couple of steps. But she quickly turned and l ooked at her. She was getting closer and closer to the bottom but not close enough. Reaching for her wand where she had put it away when Mei had first spoken to her she fumbled and dropped it between the seat. Lily tried to grab it and just managed to bump her head. "Shit, now what am I going to do? I'm practically defenseless."
Turning around and running down the stairs. Lily no long cared that her back was to the Mei. She just hopped that by running she could reach her broom. But even running she knew she would not reach her broom in time. The second the change was complete she would race towards her unable to control herself. Tears where springing to her eyes as she ran and she though of her brother James. She had always bean really close to him. Some how she wished he knew that she needed him now.

Mei had lost all control, there was nothing she could do. If she could have cried she would have... Her mind was no longer in control of her body but she could still think, still see some things that were happening. Of course, in the morning she would barely be able to remember any of this. Her wolf eyes enhanced her view of the stadium as though she had some form of night vision being able to see clearly the whole of the stadium and, most of all, the little snack backing away from her. She watched carefully as her meal attempted to back away from her and then seemed distracted by something. The wolf knew there were not many places the girl could go, no places to escape from.
She crept forward, walking lightly on her feet as she began advancing upon the little girl. Mei had no control but the sound of the little Lily's voice did offer some comfort. The wolf began slowing down a little, watching its meal carefully. She sat down before the girl, watching her for any sudden movements that might indicate she was trying to escape. The girl didn't seem to be likely to run any time soon, not that there was much to run from. Mei had lived like this for about three years without any incident of attacking another human. The animal cocked its head in a half intelligent way as though sizing the little girl up a little... Wondering whether she would taste any good...

Lily whimpered slightly and took another step back as Mei sat down and watched her. Did this mean she had enough potion to control her? Or was she just waiting for her to do something. With out her wand all she could do was run. She took another slow step back. She would give anything to have her wand right now. "Please don't hurt me Mei please." She cried and took another step. Finely she made the decision to turn and run. She would not be an easy meal for the werewolf. Turning she ran as fast as possible. As fast as her feet would carry her hoping the werewolf would stay where she was. "JAMES," she screamed as loud as possible hoping by some miracle her brother would hear her."

As the girl turned to run the wolf let out a howl, giving her something of a head start before she started lolling after her meal. It was a slow run initially but got a lot quicker as she realised that there was a chance her little snack would get away from her. She began sprinting and dashed around the girl with the intent of heading her off. By nature, she wanted to have a little bit of fun before she actually went in for the attack. The wolf skidded to a halt in front of the girl and sat down again watching her again as she ran.
Mei could feel everything, she was still there only caged just as the wolf had been for the past three years. Each time she took the potion it was like the wolf got more violent. As though it simply became more difficult to maintain. She had never experienced a change in which she held no control over what was happening and it frightened her more than she could have ever imagined. She hoped that the one Lily was calling for would arrive and stop her. She didn't want to live the rest of her life hunted like the animal she was. She had only hoped that something would stop her but she knew there was nothing she could do.

Lily's knees shook they wanted to buckle and give out and let her fall to the ground. But Lily refused to give up. When she was the wolf slide in front of her she changed directions with out a pause and began to run to Hagrids hut hopping against hope that Hagrid or Fang or even her father where there to help her. Tears where constantly running down her cheek's and her vision began to get a little blurry. Her pace was getting slower the longer she ran but she did not stop. For she knew when she did it was all over. Lily opened her mouth to scream for help. Again James name was screamed out loud. "JAME"S" This time it held more panic and fear. As she ran she tripped and fell. She knew it was all over. There was nothing she could do.

James had been entering the Common Room when he spotted Lily leaving with her broomstick in hand. He smiled as he watched her knowing how pleased she was that she had gotten her broomstick. It was one of the best models, probably the best. He thought about joining her but knew he still had a little bit of work to finish, not wanting to tarnish his record with a detention for not finishing some homework. He sat with his head in his hands for a moment before sighing.
"It's a full moon tonight... I sure hope no one's out there..."
James looked up sharply at what he had just heard. If Lily had gone out then she would be at risk. He jumped up, not bothering to clear up his work and climbed out of the portrait hole as quickly as he could then sprinted down the corridors as quickly as he could, pulling the marauder's map from his pocket as he ran. He pointed his wand at it and practically shouted the words causing the map to appear on the sheet of parchment. He spotted Lily on the Quidditch pitch with another person who was moving very quickly, Mei Carmine. A known werewolf.
By the time he reached the pitch he was as tired as though he had just played a whole Quidditch game by himself. He ran up the stairs into the stands and pointed his wand at the door muttering 'alohomora' and barging through the door. He arrived just in time to spot the wolf stop rather suddenly seeing Lily. It was like a nightmare, everything seemed to move slower. "LILY!" He shouted, beginning to run down the stairs stumbling at first.
He heard his name called out as Lily changed directions and began running towards Hagrid's hut. It only he had thought to bring his broomstick too... Or something. He shot a stunner spell towards the wolf missing by a mile the spell shooting harmlessely off into the pitch.

Bloody bastards. Damn freaking bloody snarling beasts. Iris was beyond infuriated. Hell she was BOILING that she personally set out to trap this beast. Of all things, a wolf in the school filled with innocent lives. She could feel her eyes glow red. The wolf responsible for this.. oh... if it even touched a hair on a students head she would see to it that the thing was punished beyond recognition. She knew it was here... it was just account of where precisely. Iris paced, checking her watch frequently. She was running out of time... where WAS it?! Before she knew it though, a loud cry could be heard. Iris raced toward the scene of the crime. Iris raised her wand swiftly and shouted loudly, wand raised "STUPEFY" she shouted loudly hoping to have got the beast in time. What the hell were all these students doing out at this hour. She could feel her anger towards everyone at this point. The headmistress for her lousy watch over innocent lives, the wolf for being a bastard beast and not takin their meds.... and the students for being so goddamn stupid. She was not a happy girl.

The wolf snarled as a red light shot from somewhere nearby. She would have to get rid of the both of them or at least incapacitate this one. She lunged forwards towards the girl moving swiftly leaping high with the attempt of landing on the girl in the hopes of pinning her down. As she did, she made to latch her jaws onto the girl's arm to stop her from leaving when she moved to take care of the boy who had just shot a spell at her. She hadn't thought that it would be two meals tonight. She'd never even thought that she'd get one meal but, as it happened, luck was on her side this night.
Mei so hoped that there was nothing she had to worry about, that James, or that's who she assumed had just shot the spell at her, would do something to knock her out cold but she also knew that a student her own age would not be able to stop her. Not unless he carried some sort of weapon other than a wand. There must have been something else to stop her. The WCU... Anything...
Another jet of red light shot from another direction and the wolf smelled another scent. There were now three people there. Now this was far too much for her to handle. One meal was really enough, a bite out of each one perhaps would have been fine but this was just annoying. Thankfully, this jet missed only by a hairsbreadth... But another few would probably be enough...

Lily let out a terrified scream that echoed through the ground when Mei jumped unto her. Her eyes where wide with fear. She threw her hands up to try and protect her face and if possible shove the wolf off. But it was no use. The beast was to heavy. Out of the corner of her eye she saw James pointing his wand at Mei. "James help me please," she cried just before she felt the teeth of the werewolf sink into her arm. She screamed again this time in pain as the blood began to run down her arm. "JAMES," this time it was ten times louder than any other time. She looked up at the werewolf and tried to push her of again but it was even harder with the werewolves teeth in her arm.

It seemed her spell missed, she had never been well with longdistance shots, but that hadn't stopped her from continueing to attempt to get this thing off her. "Immobulus" she shouted, this time aiming well at the wolf. She didn't have doubts that she missed as her fury was well beyond the point. Iris forgot about the students completely, her focus remained on the wolf and putting it down even if she had to kill it with her bare hands. She was normally not the type to prefer violence over logic but.... suddenly she found herself sympathizing with those hitwizards who ended up accidentally having their criminals killed.

James spotted someone else come running into the scene, an adult by the looks of things and she seemed rather annoyed. He spotted another spell shoot towards the wolf. He reached the pitch and ran forwards just as the wolf connected with Lily. He yelled out at the same time Lily did and rushed towards the wolf with the intent of pulling it off Lily. He needed to get it off her and stop it from killing his little sister. Already he was certai it was too late. Lily would be a werewolf and, what was more, whoever this was would mark her as a monster. James couldn't let that happen but there was no way of preventing it. He grabbed Mei's tail... Or the wolf's tail and began to tug, pulling her off as best he could.
At least there was someone else here now, someone who could actually help and do something for Lily. Hopefully things wouldn't be that bad. But it was Lily's birthday and he hadn't even been able to sort everything out with her, give her the present he had gotten her... For one of the few times in his life, tears streamed readily down his face and he didn't even care.
