Scorpius could have smacked himself in the head. Sure he hadn't started it, but like always, he'd get the blame for this situation. Now he was certain he'd never get any alone time with Rose, at least not today. Even if he did, the mood was ruined. What the hell was wrong with people? Was it just the Weaselys or was the entire school like this? No. It had to be just the Weaselys. Which made him even more determined to get Rose out of their influence before she was infected with whatever personality disorder all of those weirdos seemed to have. He sighed, squared his shoulders, and took a step back. This was just too much, even for him. He needed to find a better way to get Rose alone.
He needed to get up earlier.
"I'm sorry, I'm not sure what just happened....I'll get out of the way. I'll see you around and in class I guess."
As soon as he said it he turned to run the hell out of the disaster area the owlery had turned into.

Without a moments notice, suddenly Rose found herself alone with Malfoy. Hugo and Lily ran off in a fit, and there was only one person to blame! Her eyes burned with rage and she looked to Malfoy, prepared to beat his pampered ass savagely, or atleast give him a good cursing when he too decided to scamper off like the little weasel he was.

"... coward" she mumbled under her breath in the empty hall. He didn't even give her the chance to even curse at him. Without anything left to do here, Rose shook her head to herself and marched off to the Great Hall. She had a heaping pile of pancakes waiting for her and dammit that shit was going to be soaked to the nines with butter and heavy syrup!
