Animal Attacks on the Rise!
With no reported attacks for the months of September and August, it was believed that they had waned or come to a stop, but a recent admittance to St. Mungo's has brought that hopeful rumor to a grinding halt. An unnamed source has leaked information that a new patient was rushed to the Dai Llewellyn ward in the early hours following the most recent full moon. Details were few, but it was assumed that the patient was a minor as the records were sealed and names were not used on the admissions books. While there have been no records in the Ministry of werewolves being registered, speculation is running high among those normally in the know.
Until now, most attacks have been kept silent by the Ministry, and a rising patrol roster among the aurors has led to murmurs about safety concerns in the community, the violent assaults themselves have been a mystery. The public had been led to believe it was a wild animal, perhaps a hippogriff escape from an enclosure at a local animal rehabilitation center, but now with helpful sources that rumor has been laid to rest.
When questioned by the Prophet, the Minister for Magic himself had only this to say, "No Comment''. Several aurors also approached by this reporter have also been tight lipped. One rather disgruntled Ministry employee has been quoted to say, on condition of anonymity, "Well it's about time someone's been asking questions, innit?
